You didn't lose yourself. You outgrew a version of you.

Life Transitions and Identity Therapy in Calgary & Online Across Alberta

Free 15-minute consults are usually booked within 24 hours. Not a waitlist, not a callback queue. You pick a time and it is yours.

The move happened. The baby came. The job ended, or the marriage did, or the last kid left, or your body quietly started running on different software. On paper, you handled it. You made the lists, held it together for everyone else, and said "good, busy!" when people asked. But somewhere inside the handling, you lost the thread of who you actually are. Not depressed, exactly. Not fine, either. Just unrecognisable to yourself, and quietly grieving a version of you that everyone around you still expects to show up. This is not a character flaw or a failure to cope. Ravenna Helson's decades-long Mills study followed women across adulthood and found the same thing again and again: identity keeps getting rebuilt, and it is often rebuilt hardest in the years everyone assumes are settled.

We don't hand you a five-year plan in week two. Using Internal Family Systems (parts work) and Emotionally Focused Therapy, we slow the whole thing down and separate the grief from the fear from the guilt, so you can finally hear what you actually want underneath what you're supposed to want. You get to say the unsayable out loud in a room where nobody flinches, and leave with language for the version of you that's arriving. Sessions are 50 minutes, in person in Calgary's Kensington neighbourhood or online across Alberta. Registered and certified clinicians. Direct billing may be available with some extended health plans.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Common Questions

Is it too soon, or too late, to be struggling with this? There is no schedule for a transition. Some women book three weeks after a move; others come four years after a baby, when the fog finally lifts enough to notice what's missing. Do I need a crisis to qualify? No. "Nothing is technically wrong and I still feel lost" is one of the most common reasons women start here. What if I don't know what I want yet? That's usually the work, not a prerequisite for it. Sessions with Nancy Jassi, MACP, CCC, or another clinician on our women's team. In person in Calgary's Kensington neighbourhood and online across Alberta. Individual sessions 50 minutes, $190. Free 15-minute consultation. Direct billing may be available.
